Newspapers Are (Almost) No Longer...

I would like to start off by saying I am PRO-Print...
But in today's society, technology is moving so fast we may have actual robots in the near future sitting in front of us and giving us the latest news. Though it may seem like a pre-historic idea, newspapers were once the only means of staying up to date. Extra! Extra! Read All About It!!!

So I live in a community named Dundalk. Dundalk is a pretty old community with a lot of pretty old people. Some of these lovely folks read the Dundalk Eagle (the really local newspaper). In all actuality, I believe it needs to fly away. The news it headlines is not at all interesting and I'm a visual. "MTA bus changes include new routes"...NEXT! "Local GOP candidates band together to create 'New Team'"...Eh, WHO CARES really?? This is why the Dundalk Eagle to me, has no chance of survival...not only is the content meager, it's unrelatable.

How about USA TODAY? "Think airline seats have gotten smaller? They have". Gawsh darnit! I knew something wasn't right when I traveled a few months ago. "Are dangerous gas lines lurking below your feet?" I don't know but I surely want to find out. See, that's my cup of tea, 0.jpg (480×360)

and this is why I believe USA Today will most definitely stick around. When you attract a broader audience, you are grabbing more attention and when you create a combo of relatable yet interesting stories, you've got yourself a winner. A newspaper with no action is like cereal with no milk, salad with no lettuce, a bed with no comforter. Lol! But in all seriousness, KEEP CALM and read a newspaper! Don't let the internet be your only source of news!

  1. You are so right about the fact that technology has become the source for our news & as of the now the society we live in only the old head or seniors read the paper because that's what they were brought up

  2. I think you are absolutely right about technology being the source of our latest news! In our current generation, we have become so attatched to technology that we always tend to forget about newspapers. That's just how it is nowadays! This is what the future will probably look.
