Magazine Drama!

So it's late at night and I decide to take a trip to the market...it's about that time for some Ben & Jerry's 'Chunky Monkey'. Yes, I'm feeling a little down...until bam!! Low and to be held, this is what I see. Now that my mind is off of obviously less important things, I'm staring straight at JT and his sorry looking face. "Jessica & Justin $200 Million Divorce Shocker!" Why is this our business anyway?  Then we have Angelina and Brad in the corner looking oh so happy but no...we can't just be happy for them, we've gotta know all the juicy details.

Moving Along....
Here's the big picture.

You've got a before and after (Justin caught cheating, then a divorce), a woman whose full body I can't see but what you can and should visualize is "You, 30 Lbs Slimmer", poor Joan Rivers who cannot rest in peace and a cut off of a 'Flea Market' magazine that just didn't seem all that interesting (notice it's on the bottom). I even seen Oprah in all black trying to look like a shadow..it's nothing wrong with being yourself! These images are all wrong, we are not all a size double 0! When is enough, enough? All of these magazines seem to now just be 'passer by's' because you pass right by them when you shop and you also skip on actually buying them. Everything you need to know is on the internet, and these articles are nothing but rumors. The women are all sexualized and the men are seen as heart throbs and dogs. These magazines tell us to throw dirt on those in the spotlight but also try to make you feel bad about yourself. So which is it going to be? Neither. I'll pass!!!

  1. I completely agree with all the things you said here! The way I see how rumors get nowadays, it's pretty much a way to just create nothing but drama. Unnecessary drama in that regard! Rumors are called rumors for a reason and if you're trying to be happy, these rumors are just going to be a waste of time to worry about.

  2. I agree with you; what is up with our society's obsession with the lives of celebrities? It's almost as though magazines are trying to say "your life is boring and uninteresting; live vicariously through the drama-filled lives of famous people!" And I'll pass as well. I don't have time to be invested in celebrities' lives- I can barely keep up with my own! ;)

  3. You think that these magazines would have more important things in the world to write about but all i see is headlines about celebrity scandals and who cheated with who and a whole bunch of crap. What ever happened to real news
